FAA Waiver
The standard FAA Altitude Waiver for the Plaster City launch site is 25,000 feet.
At a sport launch, you are only permitted to use motors that are certified by NAR or TRA, as well as the California State Fire Marshall.
Those of you who wish to use experimental or uncertified motors must attend an experimental launch.
The FAA Waiver also allows for night launching between 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM
Please note night flights must contain a strobe or LEDs that are visible throughout the entire flight.
Glow sticks are not enough, neither is a strobe deployed at recovery.
